Donations Needed

Draper Historic Theatre is a non-profit theatre which relies on the support of our friends and patrons. As you know, the COVID-19 has negatively impacted all community theatre groups in Utah and Draper Historic Theatre is no exception. Due to the COVID-19 situation, our 2020 season has been postponed and potentially canceled. As over 70% of our income comes from ticket sales, Draper Historic Theatre is running low on funds it desperately needs for basic operations!!

Please consider making a donation to the theatre now when the need is so great! When you make a gift to Draper Historic Theatre, your support makes it possible for us to bring an affordable and accessible family friendly theatre experience to our community!

In response to the COVID-19 situation and as an incentive for people to make donations, Congress passed the CARES Act (Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act), which includes a $2 trillion economic stimulus law intended to provide immediate relief for individuals, nonprofits, businesses, and state and local governments. The CARES Act is the third law enacted in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

NEW Charitable Giving Incentive from the CARES Act: Creates a new above-the-line deduction for total charitable contributions of up to $300!! The incentive applies to cash contributions made in 2020 and can be claimed on tax forms next year. (Section 2204) The law lifts the existing cap on annual contributions for those who itemize, raising it from 60% of adjusted gross income to 100%! For corporations, the law raises the annual limit from 10% to 25%.
